| CAREER SUMMARY Ken Schaefer started his real estate career in 1999 after 8 successful years in the managed care industry as a marketing analyst and subsequent promotion to marketing manager. Ken’s background in marketing and research has proven to be an excellent resource for the clients of Grubb & Ellis|New Mexico. With overall responsibility for the brokerage services division, Ken focuses daily on providing guidance for research requests, developing strategies for advisors’ listings, implementing new technologies, and compliance with New Mexico Real Estate Commission regulations. Over the past eight years, Ken has proven his abilities in the real estate market by spearheading the development of several major commercial real estate research projects. These include setting up a comparative sale and lease transaction databases now with over 4,000 records and overseeing the development of industrial, office and retail base inventories totaling 72 million square feet that are reported on quarterly. As a native of Albuquerque, his vast local market knowledge combined with his strong work ethic are valuable assets to clients working in the Albuquerque market. Ken’s research department data is frequently quoted by local, regional and national news publications including New Mexico Business Weekly, The Albuquerque Journal’s Business Outlook, Western Real Estate Business and the Wall Street Journal. Ken also believes in giving back to the community. He has served as chairperson of FHP Healthcare’s Free Flu Shots for Seniors Committee providing over 30,000 shots in three years. He has worked pro bono on the CCIM Virtual Tour Committee for the last four years showcasing over 70 new commercial projects annually and provided data collection systems for the NAIOP Commercial Real Estate Directory.
