CAREER SUMMARY

Don Martin brings over 40 years of experience in home building, land-development and real estate brokerage to Grubb & Ellis|New Mexico.  In his distinguished career, Don has built over 9,000 single and multi-family homes and has developed large and small subdivisions throughout the United States.  His experience and expansive list of clients in the national homebuilding arena have made him a sought after resource in all land transactions involving homebuilders, developers, and buyers who are speculators on future development.

Prior to joining Grubb & Ellis|New Mexico, Don was a senior executive with Wood Bros. Homes, a national builder, since merged with MDC Richmond America, and was responsible for managing company operations in Colorado, Maryland, New Mexico, Texas, Virginia and Wyoming.  He was also the founder of Martin Development, which developed subdivisions and built homes in Colorado and New Mexico.

Don was the National President of the National Association of Homebuilders in 1998 and was elected to the National Homebuilders Hall of Fame in 2004.  His extensive experience in land selection, land development, master planned communities, managing a large home building company, and nationwide homebuilder contracts make him an invaluable resource and broker of choice in any transaction involving homebuilders and developers and their needs.
