John Garcia grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He specializes in Economic Development. John works on site-selection projects, business incentives, business expansions and relocations and governmental affairs.
John has a strong business background with management experience in the Bennigan's Restaurant and the Marriott Hotel chains. John has been Executive Director of the New Mexico Restaurant Association, and founded Hospitotally, Inc., an Albuquerque consulting business that specializes in customer service applications.
In January 1995, Governor Gary Johnson appointed John to be Secretary of the New Mexico Department of Tourism. Since then, he has also served as the Manager of the New Mexico State Fair and the Senior Officer of Cultural Affairs. He was appointed to lead the New Mexico Economic Development Department in January 1999 as the Cabinet Secretary.
John is passionate about creating opportunities for investments and jobs in the state of New Mexico and using his talents and background to compliment any real estate transaction.
