During his 23 years in the industry, John has developed extensive expertise as a business broker. His transactions have ranged from sole proprietorships and small franchises to large corporations. These businesses have involved the manufacturing sector, service industry, retail and wholesale arenas, distributorships, restaurants, and more.

Among the hundreds of businesses John has brokered are the New Mexico Coffee Company, AeroColours-New Mexico, Electronics Parts Company, Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, Accessories Unlimited, Rio Grande Landscapes and Pranzo Italian Grill.

John maintains a large inventory of diverse, profitable business opportunities in New Mexico. He is intensely involved in each facet of every transaction, including the evaluation and pricing process, marketing activities, and qualification of potential buyers. For a smooth transition of ownership, he oversees the contract negotiations, due diligence, preparation of all documents, and closing procedures.

John was born in Laramie, Wyoming. He and his wife, Sandra, have lived in New Mexico for nearly thirty years. They love the Land of Enchantment and consider themselves native New Mexicans. Recently, the couple celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. They have four daughters and nine grandchildren.

Upon graduating from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Geology, John worked as a practicing geologist in oil and uranium exploration for ten years. He and his wife have owned and operated their own business. For over twenty years, John has worked as a licensed commercial real estate broker specializing in the sale of businesses. He is Senior Vice President with Grubb & Ellis|New Mexico and heads up the Business Services Group.

John serves on various charitable boards in his community and is a deacon in his church. From his childhood, John has been an avid fly-fisherman. When he isn't at the office, you may find him fishing the "catch and release" quality waters of the San Juan River or manning his float-tube on picturesque Stone Lake. He loves old cars and is working on restoring a 1933 Buick, which he and his wife relish driving through the enchanting New Mexico countryside.
